i’ve been making pretty steady progress on my bookshelf quilt. i’ve got 2 rows completely embroidered, and two more rows mostly assembled. i need to embroider those, and then decide on my final layout and choose a ‘shelf’ material to go around each shelf (hubby wants purple). then i plan on quilting as you go, and then assembling the 4 pieces. trying to decide if i’m going to put a border on this one or not. if i do, i will be pretty simple, probably a solid/tone on tone (yellow? orange? not sure).
first and third rows are done and embroidered.. i’m working on row 2 (still needs some assembly) and then i’ll move to row 4 (needs ironing and more assembling first). each shelf will get some extra background material either at the start or end the of row.. i want to stagger them a bit.
